Tara Ward

Tara first got involved at the Ecology Center as a work study student while doing her Masters at the School of Natural Resources at UMich. After she graduated, she worked full-time at the EC as Fundraising and Membership Coordinator and then moved on to work as Staff Coordinator. After a few years as Staff Coordinator, she moved to work on Environmental Education, which was her main passion. She worked on Environmental Education for many years creating curriculum for schools, doing workshops with teachers, and doing programs at schools in classrooms and at assemblies. This work had a focus on groundwater education and led to the creation of the Gee-WOW grounwater education program that included 50 water related lessons. After leaving the Ecology Center, she continued to work on environmental education and today works at SEEDS, a nonprofit focusing on environmental education.
